Diversity is the term that regroups all social differences dwelling between individuals that coexist in the same environment. Whether these differences are based on culture, origins, age, gender, physical disability, or other considerations, they can induce misunderstanding, bias, prejudice, or even discrimination. In a professional environment, these judgment disruptions may have an effect on both interpersonal relationships and mere individual performance of the collaborators, eventually leading to effect the company’s performance. This is where we come to the importance of diversity management to help the company create a work environment in which only benefits can be had from diversity, instead of suffering the effects of its contingencies. In this perspective, the current research was undertaken to study diversity management – mainly in the Algerian context – and its impact on the company’s human resources performance.
